About

In professional bull riding, half of every score belongs to the bull. The riders have profiles, rankings and highlight reels — the bulls, mostly, have folklore. WorldChampionBull.com exists to give the sport's bovine athletes the statistical record they've earned: every recorded out, every score, every matchup, every championship.

What this site is

What it isn't

It isn't an official PBR product, a news site, or a betting service. There are no invented storylines here — when a page says a bull was great, the number next to that claim is the argument.

The People Behind the Project

I'm Robert Coats, and my wife Victoria and I are genuine PBR fans.

We've attended events across the country and experienced the sport from just about every angle. We've been behind the chutes, in the cage, on the edge of the dirt, in the good seats up front, and way down back in the stands. We love all of it.

Bull riding got into my blood pretty early. My mother was a big fan, so I grew up watching it. As a young boy, I was convinced I was going to grow up to be either a bull rider or a truck driver. Somehow I ended up joining the Army instead, and eventually made a career in Internet marketing. Probably safer for everyone involved.

The love of the sport never went away. 8 Seconds still sits comfortably in my personal top ten movies, and Justin McBride's 2007 album Don't Let Go still gets regular play on my Spotify.

Victoria and I have checked a lot of PBR experiences off the list over the years, but one big one remains: the World Championships in Las Vegas. Now that our youngest is off to college, we're finally planning that trip too.

WorldChampionBull.com is really just an extension of that fandom. It's something we wanted to build for people like us: the fans who remember the bulls, follow their careers, argue about the great ones, and enjoy digging into the numbers behind the sport.

Independence

WorldChampionBull.com is independently developed and maintained. Ride data comes from the PBR Data API; see Data & Sources for exactly how it's used. Partnership, licensing and acquisition conversations are welcome — get in touch.
