Coach's Pen

In PBR Teams, every team is drawn a pen of five bulls before each game. Load a posted pen to see every matchup bull by bull, with the odds the bull wins each out, and share it. Then, if you like, make the call yourself.

Load a real pen

Step into a real coach's shoes: every complete pen from the last two PBR Teams seasons — the five bulls a team actually drew, with the coach's actual lineup loaded as your starting point. New games appear after the weekly data sync on Mondays.

The riders 0/5

Rows pair up: the bull in row 1 faces the rider in row 1, and so on. Enter a posted matchup row by row to see it as drawn.

How it's figured: each pairing uses the Matchup Projector's disclosed math — the bull's career ride-allowed rate, adjusted by the rider's ride rate against the tour average and by chute side (riders cover more often when a bull's delivery side matches their riding hand, both as PBR lists them — the numbers); projected bull score is 70% recent form plus 30% career average; ride score adds the rider's average judged half. The bull is marked either way, but a buckoff puts nothing on the team's total, so a pairing's expected team points are the chance the rider covers (100% minus the buckoff likelihood) times his ride score, and a lineup's expected team score is the sum of its pairings. PBR Teams games go to the higher five-rider total.

The limits, honestly: the numbers know which side a bull is delivered from and which hand a rider rides with, but not which way he turns back, how he leaves the chute, or who's riding well that week — the pen a real coach reads first. Riders shown have at least 10 recorded outs. A reference for fans, not odds and not betting advice. See which teams actually drew the rankest pens in the Draw Report.
